About the Webinar

This seminar invites us to reconsider the language and assumptions embedded in reproductive biology. Dr Appleton discusses how terms such as “female hormones” carry historical, gendered, and colonial baggage that shapes the way we interpret biological matter. Through a feminist and decolonial lens, she explores new ways of understanding progesterone and related hormonal processes beyond traditional binaries.
